Home to over 100 shops, restaurants, galleries and nightclubs, the Village has become a destination for many visiting our area. John's Pass also features commercial and charter fishing as well as sightseeing cruises, boat & jet-ski rentals and parasailing. It’s one of the few places where you can shop til ya’ drop while spotting dolphins & even manatees cruising in the calm waters. Plus, family friendly activities that are actually kid approved are all around! Rent a huge Waverunner that seats almost the whole family, take the kids to a pirate show at the Pirate Ship or enjoy delicious seafood with family friendly prices at one of the local eateries!

John's Pass was first created by a major hurricane in 1848. When a ferocious storm hit the Gulf Coast, it cut a large passage through the barrier island that today separates Madeira Beach to the north & Treasure Island to the south. Named after its discoverer Jean "John" Levique , a local sea turtle hunter and fisherman. Over the next hundred or so years the John's Pass area has changed from a sleepy fishing village into what is today a vibrant shopping & entertainment district at the southernmost part of Madeira Beach.
